At Franciscan, our Forensic Nurse Examiners are critical to the compassionate comprehensive medical-forensic exams to victims of violence. In this role you may see patients that may include victims of sexual assault, domestic violence/intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder abuse, human trafficking and other abuse within the scope of practice. In this role you will obtain consent and patient history to formulate a plan of care as well as assess and conduct safety planning for victims and their families. You will also collaborate with medical providers, victim advocates, law enforcement, Department of Child Services and other social service agencies and may require you to provide courtroom testimony related to the care and treatment they provided.
